The importance of the military aspect of national security in contemporary times has gradually declined and other aspects, especially the economic dimension of national security, have become important. Whereas in the past, national security was often regarded as the absence of foreign aggression and the military was the most important means of securing national security, today the concept of security has evolved to include new dimensions so that governments, especially national security, in economic-commercial development, not Arms is one of the organizations that can enhance the economic security of the country in accordance with the process of globalization, which is the Customs authority. The organization is a bridge between financial and trade policy and the most important organization influencing international trade, but has evolved into a new era, due to the lack of traditional processes and the use of island systems. Accordingly, the present study examined the role of Customs on the economic security of the Islamic Republic of Iran during the years 1396-96. For this purpose, after collecting 106 questionnaires from experts and practitioners in the field of trade and Customs, the results were analyzed based on structural equation models. The results showed that the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs had a significant role on all aspects of economic security during the period 2013-2014. In spite of this, although customs has played an important role in all aspects, customs has had the highest impact on economic recovery and the customs have the least effect on the phenomenon of smuggling.
