Abstract
The victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1357 and the developments after that put Iran on a path that has been increasingly in conflict with the interests of the West, especially the United States. The occupation of the American embassy and the development of nuclear and missile programs by Iran have been a pretext for the imposition of international sanctions by the United Nations, the European Union and the United States against this country. These sanctions were aimed at weakening Iran's economic and military power and forcing the country to reconsider its regional and international policies. This research has sought to answer the question by using the descriptive-analytical method to test hypotheses and library and survey tools to collect data, in addition to using the theory of international regimes, that What has been the role of international sanctions against the Islamic Republic of Iran on changing the balance of power in the West Asian region? region.
