      The journal of Crisis Studies of the Islamic World is an interdisciplinary, open-access, double-blind peer-reviewed academic journal published quarterly. it  aims to address political crises affecting the Islamic countries through diverse academic lenses. By publishing original and high-quality manuscripts, the journal provides a valuable resource for researchers, policymakers, and practitioners interested in understanding the complexities of crises in the Islamic countries. The open-access model ensures that the research is widely accessible, promoting knowledge sharing and collaboration across disciplines.

       This interdisciplinary journal aims to address the complexities and challenges faced by the Islamic countries through rigorous research and critical analysis. We aim to facilitate dialogue among scholars, policymakers, and practitioners to promote informed solutions and collaborative efforts.  The journal of Crisis Studies of the Islamic World publishes original research articles and comprehensive review papers that provide insights into crises affecting the Islamic countries, fostering a deeper understanding of these issues. Our mission is to explore and analyze the multifaceted crises within the Islamic countries , contributing to the academic discourse on political challenges.

The "Crisis Studies of the Islamic World" Journal  has received a "B" ranking from the Commission of Scientific Journals of the Iranian Ministry of Science, Research and Technology in its 2024 assessment. This ranking signifies the journal's adherence to academic standards and its valuable contributions to scholarly discourse within its field. This recognition enhances the journal's credibility and is expected to attract increased submissions from researchers and scholars interested in its subject matter.

 

1. Open Access Statement

 

The "Crisis Studies of the Islamic World" Journal is an open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. This is in accordance with the BOAI definition of open access.

 

 

2. License

   

The "Crisis Studies of the Islamic World" Journal is licensed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution License 4.0 International (CC-BY 4.0). Licensees may copy, distribute, display and make derivative works only if they cite the original published article. 

 

3. Copyright 

The author(s), with full authority, hereby transfer  all legal and intellectual rights related to the publication of the articles to the Crisis Studies of the Islamic World journal and Ayatollah Borujerdi University Press. The journal retains the exclusive right to publish the article in print, online, on CD-ROM, and in both international and domestic indexes. Any material benefits arising from the article shall belong solely to the journal and the publisher. These rights shall remain in effect unless the article is rejected for publication by the journal or the author(s) withdraw their submission prior to a final publication decision.

The authors have all rights to use the copy in their educational activities, their websites, the websites of the institution or the funder, providing a full reference to the final version published in this publication.

Authors may use the final published article for their professional, occupational or professional purposes by citing the publication of the journal.

 

4. Plagiarism Detection Policy 

Plagiarism is intentionally using someone else’s ideas or other original material as if they are one's own. Copying even one sentence from someone else’s manuscript, or even one of your own that has previously been published, without proper citation is considered by the journal of Crisis Studies of the Islamic World as plagiarism. All manuscripts under review or published with the journal of Crisis Studies of the Islamic World are subject to screening using plagiarism prevention software (Hamanandjoo). Thus, plagiarism is a serious violation of publication ethics. 

If plagiarism is detected during peer review, the submission can be rejected. If plagiarism is detected after publication we reserve the right, as necessary, to issue a correction or retract the article. We reserve the right to notify the institutions of authors about the plagiarism that was found before or after publication.

The "Crisis Studies of the Islamic World" Journal  implements measures to assess the originality, reliability, and proper citation of submitted papers. We recognize that plagiarism is unacceptable and have established specific policies outlining penalties for any identified instances of plagiarism in manuscripts submitted for publication. Authors must ensure that they submit only original works. If they reference the work or statements of others, proper citation is required. Plagiarism in any form—including quoting or paraphrasing substantial portions of another's article without attribution, misrepresenting another's work as one's own, or claiming results from others' research—is considered unethical publishing behavior and will not be tolerated. Manuscripts that consist solely of previously published materials from other authors, without original interpretation or contribution from the submitting author, will not be accepted for publication.

  • Plagiarism Check: All submitted articles undergo a plagiarism check. Please submit a report from either the Samim Noor Similarity Check System alongside your article.

5. COPE's Guideline and Flowcharts

  • The ethical policy of  the journal of Crisis Studies of the Islamic Worldm  is based on the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines and complies with International Committee of journal Editorial Board codes of conduct.
  • Following the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines ensures that the journal maintains high ethical standards in its publishing practices. This includes issues like authorship, plagiarism and conflicts of interest.

6. Repository Policy

The Journal of Crisis Studies of the Islamic World allows authors to deposit all versions of their work in an institutional or subject repository ( sudh as Sherpa/Romeo, Dulcinea, Diadorim and other repositories). This policy outlines how authors can self-archive versions of their work on personal web pages, institutional webpages, and in other repositories. For further details, please refer to the table below. There is no embargo on archiving articles published under the OPEN ACCESS category. This is in accordance with the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Public License (CC BY 4.0).

7. Article Archive Policy

  • The plan for electronic backup and preservation of access to journal's content  is clearly indicated. This policy sets out the ways in which the authors of the Crisis Studies of the Islamic World  can archive copies of their work on their own web pages, corporate web pages, and various other subject repositories. 
  • the Crisis Studies of the Islamic World journal is an open access license, articles can be made available immediately according to the terms of their specific Creative Common license. If an author has published an article under an Open Access license, the Crisis Studies of the Islamic World would encourage author to share the Version of Record on publication as opposed to the Accepted Manuscript.
  • Authors may also reuse the Abstract and Citation information (e.g. Title, Author name, Publication dates) of their article anywhere at any time including social media such as LinkedIn, Facebook, blogs and Twitter, providing that where possible a link is included back to the article on the Crisis Studies of the Islamic World site. Preferably the link should be, or include, the Digital Object Identifier (DOI) which can be found in the Citation information about the article online. The accepted version may be placed on: the author's personal website and/or the author's company/institutional repository or archive. Self-archiving of the submitted version is not subject to an embargo period.

The Crisis Studies of the Islamic World does not accept any advertisements on the website and journal articles.

9. Journal Publisher

The Crisis Studies of the Islamic World is owned and published by the Ayatollah Borujerdi University. All intellectual and publishing rights of the journal are reserved by the university.
