Abstract
The Yemen crisis, due to its multidimensional nature, has evolved into one of the most significant crises in the Middle East,. The aim question of the research is: What are the key drivers of the Yemen crisis? And what impact will the Iran-Saudi agreement, (March 10, 2023) have on the crisis trajectory? Due to the exploration of the research hypotheses are not presented. The paper adopts a mixed-methods approach. Initially, influential variables on the Yemen crisis are identified through a literature review. Then, respondents, who are experts in this field , are asked to identify the key drivers of the crisis based on the Iran-Saudi agreement premise, using the cross-impact analysis (MICMAC) method. The research findings indicate that the diminishing of Saudi Arabia's traditional influence in Yemen is a primary driver of the evolving situation. Additionally, the withdrawal of the Saudi-led coalition and the increasing influence of the Islamic Revolutionary movement in Yemen are among the most crucial variables for controlling the crisis. These variables have the potential to affect other factors, creating a pathway to crisis management.
