Abstract
This interdisciplinary study examines the structural transformations of power in the Palestinian conflict following the "Al-Aqsa Storm" operation (October 2023). Utilizing the theoretical framework of quantum physics, the article seeks to answer the central question: How does martyrdom, as a quantum phenomenon, shape power dynamics, discourse, and legitimacy in Palestine? The findings reveal that martyrdom operates in a state of “quantum superposition”, simultaneously embodying two seemingly contradictory states: on one hand, as a tragic event involving human loss and infrastructural destruction, and on the other, as a symbolic act reinforcing the discourse and power of resistance. This ontological duality challenges classical paradigms of conflict analysis. Martyrdom has altered the power balance by inducing psychological crises in Israeli society (increased collective anxiety and eroded trust in national security) while bolstering the spirit of resistance in Palestine. Its economic repercussions (declining GDP and investment in Israel) underscore its destabilizing effect on the Zionist regime's financial structures. Furthermore, through “quantum entanglement”, martyrdom has activated a global network of resistance and amplified justice-seeking discourse. The study’s innovation lies in proposing a “quantum model of power analysis”, yielding three key theoretical contributions: 1) Redefining martyrdom as a multidimensional phenomenon within “political Hilbert space”. 2) Explaining the nonlinear mechanisms through which martyrdom impacts power structures. 3) Providing a framework for understanding contemporary resistance dynamics.
