The concept of energy securityis recently considered in international relations and included in researcher’s studies. The energy issue was an economic issue in advance but recently it has been considered as a problemin security and politics especially after gas conflict between Russia and Ukraine in 2006. This crisis happened again in 2009. Repeated tensions in the Middle East, especially after conflict between Russia and the West about Ukrainian 2014, made energy security even more important. All kinds of energies are not at the same level of turning into a security problem and natural gas is the most vulnerable energy in this regard and renewable energies are less vulnerable ones because they are produced and consumed locally. This article tries to introduce and use “Regional Security Complex Theory” and its concepts on energy security using a descriptive-analytical approach.
