A Strategic Analysis of Iran and Saudi Arabia in 2011 Developments and its Impact on Iran and the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council Relations

Abstract

The Middle east in the last decade was an important center of political and international crises and It has great importance, The 2011 developments in the Middle East and the North Africa are one of the international developments that had a great influence on regional security associated with effects on the field of regional and international actors.
The purpose of this article is to check the orientation of Iran and Saudi Arabia on the 2011 developments in Syria ,Bahrain and Yemen and its impact on the relations between Iran and the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council .In fact the question arises here is that How Iran`s and Saudi`s approach toward the developments that influence the events of 2012 could affect Iran and Persian Gulf Cooperation Council relations? Here we assume that Iran`s and Saudi`s conflicting strategies towards regional developments, has reduced the relations between Iran and the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council more than ever. In this article, we analyse the new strategy of the Saudi-based Iran’s securitization from state actors level to the level of institutions. The method used in this research is a descriptive-analytic one.
