Abstract

The nuclear case has undoubtedly been the most important foreign policy issue of the Islamic republic of Iran's governments for the past three decades that has been influenced by domestic and foreign policy.Foreign actors, especially the great powers have played an essential role in the formation trend and turning its technical-legal dimension into a political-security case.So far, this has had various effects and consequences. Therefore,it is important to consider the formation trend from different angles. The present paper aims to answer the main questions by usingadescriptive-analytical approach and applying the discourse theory:whatisthe behavioral pattern of foreign policy of the governments of the Islamic Republic of Iran on nuclear issue and what are its effects and consequences?
The findings of research show that the establishment of unified management in the nuclear case, transforming the nuclear issue into the public discourse and countering avarice of the western countries, revelation the face of the United States and reducing public confidence in this country are the most important strengths,as well as passivity to the board of governors and threats of the western countries, the abuse of western countries from Ahmadinejad's discourse, linking economic issues with the nuclear case and different interpretations of joint comprehensive plan of action(JCPOA)are the major weaknesses of the Islamic republic of Iran's governments in the nuclear case.
