Abstract
The right to self-determination is one of the fundamental principles of international law, based on which the people residing in a territory have the right to determine their political, economic, and cultural destiny. The government of the ZIonist regime has consistently ignored the right of the Palestinians to determine their own destiny since its formation, considering it exclusive to the Jewish people. The question is which category of the Palestinian people is included in the right to self-determination? This research, using descriptive and analytical methods and studying existing sources on the determination of destiny rights, examines the right of the Palestinian nation to determine their destiny based on international law principles. The research results indicate that, according to the Treaty of Versailles and Lausanne regarding the determination of citizenship for people who previously resided within the Ottoman Empire's territory, the United Nations General Assembly resolution identifying the Palestinian liberation movement as the legal representative of the Palestinian people, and the decolonization resolution, currently there is a right to self-determination for the Palestinian people who resided in this country during British mandate, including Arabs and Palestinians who are citizens of ZIonist regime
