Abstract
Regional crises can be considered among the realities of international politics and national security in the countries of Southwest Asia (issue). The changes that create crises, especially in the context of security crises in West Asia, are one of the key issues in studies related to this area. The October 7 war in Gaza stands as the most significant crisis of the third decade of the 21st century, occurring at a time when signs of emerging identity, geopolitical, and technological changes were becoming apparent. These changes can have profound impacts on the regional balance of power and the future of the surrounding environment. The main question raised by the papers is, “Under what strategic circumstances did the Gaza war take shape, and how will it impact the future of the Muslim World?” (question). The hypothesis of this paper emphasizes that “the Gaza war is a reflection of the change in the power balance equation, and will in turn, pave the ground for re-production of legitimizing identity” (hypothesis). Castell’s “resistance identities” and the Cohen’s “shatterbelts” theory were used in writing this paper (method).
